Continuous delivery is an essential part of modern software development, and Kubernetes has become the de-facto standard for container orchestration. However, managing the entire delivery pipeline can be challenging, especially in a cloud native environment. In this talk, we’ll explore how Flux and Keptn can be used together to automate and bring observability to your Kubernetes deployments. Flux is a set of continuous and progressive delivery solutions for Kubernetes that are open and extensible. Flux keeps your Kubernetes clusters in sync with sources of configuration (like Git repositories), and automates updates to configuration when there is new code to deploy. The Keptn Lifecycle Toolkit (KLT) implements observability for deployments that are implemented with standard GitOps tools, like Flux, and brings application awareness to your Kubernetes clusters. In this talk, we will discuss and demo how Flux and Keptn can be used together to manage the complete application lifecycle. By the end of this talk, attendees will have a clear understanding of how to use Flux and Keptn Lifecycle Toolkit together to seamlessly provide automation, observability, and orchestration of your GitOps deployments in Kubernetes.
